Consultant – Technical Adviser
RESPONSIBILITIESUnder the supervision of the Branch Coordinator, Urban Economy and Finance Branch, the consultant will be responsible for the following tasks and outputs:
Undertake background research and analysis in preparation for the development of the SUED Programme Proposal; (to commence as soon as SUED Request for Proposal (RFP) is announced by DFID and report back to the Branch Coordinator)
Research the Business Case of the SUED Programme when it is publicly shared by DFID and provide a technical summary of the same with a special focus on the realization of the targeted Job Creation and Poverty Reduction Impact Indicators; (to commence as soon as SUED RFP is announced by DFID and report back to Branch Coordinator)
Undertake a preliminary engagement with at least two county government focal officials to share the objectives of the SUED programme and sample county government interest to engage with UN-Habitat in the SUED Programme as well as explore possible ways county government support could be leveraged to strengthen the UN-Habitat Proposal. SFCG in Kenya is currently implementing programming with the goal to build increased trust and collaboration between key community stakeholders in coastal Kenya. Consultants Obligations
The Consultant shall work closely and under the oversight of Head of Programs to deliver a quality training.
The engagement will be for 4 working days starting from 10th January and end on the 13th January 2017.
Submit the expression of interest to FEED prior to the engagement.
Submit the training report 7 days after the training as support of the invoice that shall be submitted to FEED.
The Consultant shall not assign or transfer any of the obligations or benefits of the engagement to 3rd parties without prior notification and consent of FEED in writing.
