    Responsibilities:
    Help the patient with basic needs such as taking medication, bathing, dressing as required
    Serve meals and help the patient to eat
    Respond to the patient’s calls
    Note down any vital signs that may be provided to the patients doctor
    Assist the patient turn or reposition when bed-ridden
    Change the patient’s bed sheets, provide and empty bedpans whenever required
    Help lift the patient into wheelchair/bed
    Ensure the patient’s room is clean, sanitized at all times and supplies restocked
    Any other care givers duties that may be required by the patient.
    Education / Qualifications
    Nurse-Aid Certification from a recognized institution
    Excellent communication skills
    Should be available to live-in the home with the patients family
    At least one-year experience as a Nurse Aid in an institution

    Requirements for the Team Leader Job
    Master’s degree in water engineering, natural resource management, hydrology or equivalent;
    A minimum of 6 years’ experience in project oversight; strategic planning, programme development and implementation, results-based management and reporting;
    Demonstrated experience on water resource development;
    Demonstrated working knowledge on sector development models and performance based contracting.
    Experience with market systems and Public Private Partnerships.
    Experience in providing advisory services, hands-on experience in planning and design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development policies and programmes and establishing inter-relationships among international organizations and national governments.
    Experience in developing and maintaining strong partnerships and in mobilizing resources.
    Faultless communication skills, both oral and written in English.

    Regional Technical Specialist Country Program Officer – Kenya

    Location: Nairobi with travel locally and regular regional travel within Sub-Saharan Africa 
    Overall Job Function: Reporting to the Product Introduction Technical Advisor and the Country Director, the Regional Technical Specialist is responsible for providing technical support for the introduction of optimized ARV drug regimens and new ARV formulations in the sub-Saharan Africa region.
     
    S/he will work in close collaboration with the country-level Program Coordinators. 
    Responsibilities
    Develop country launch plans for new ARV products by conducting country-level needs assessments and strategizing with stakeholders
    Collaborate with ICAP country teams, consortium partners, and other key stakeholders to design, plan, implement, and assess market interventions related to ARV registration, supply chain, product packaging, user preferences, clinical mentoring, and more
    Provide technical support for ARV product introduction, including on policy, regulatory, financial, supply chain, phased implementation, training and education, quality assurance, and monitoring
    Support national task force/coordinating bodies on HIV guideline revisions, product introduction planning, implementation, and monitoring
    Organize and lead advocacy activities such as trainings, meetings, sensitizations, and workshops with country-level and regional partners and stakeholders
    Develop materials to advocate for the effective implementation of introducing optimized ARVs, such as but not limited to toolkits, case studies, landscape mapping and analysis, generic guidance, training materials, standard operational procedures
    Develop and disseminate compelling evidence for policy change at global, regional, and country-levels including journal articles, communication materials, policy briefs, fact sheets, webinars, etc.
    Foster strong communication and participate in meetings with country counterparts at consortium organizations, Ministries of Health, and US Government representatives, and other regional stakeholders on ARV drug optimization
    Prepare and deliver presentations to represent ICAP and OPTIMIZE at technical fora
    Contribute to grant management and reporting processes
    Perform other duties as assigned.
    Requirements
    Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized institution
    Masters in Public Health is preferred
    8 + years of related work experience
    4+ years’ experience working on international public health projects at an international organization in sub-Saharan Africa in the field of health service delivery systems, pharmaceuticals, or procurement, with focus on HIV and ARV drugs preferred
    Relevant experience in HIV or other health-related programming and implementing in resource-limited settings
    Experience in clinical management of HIV infection including ART
    Experience working with national working groups in developing plans and/or national guidelines and tools
    Excellent understanding of public health approach to scaling up antiretroviral therapy or other treatment
    French or Portuguese language skills.
