The Business Development Consultant will drive business growth (new business) in Medical Broking. The role will report to a Manager, Medical Broking.

New Business Acquisition
Drive the sales process from pre-qualification to award of contract.
Response to request for proposal.
Negotiate with underwriters on benefits, rates, discounts in order to offer the client the most competitive solution.
Preparation of risk notes & submission of the same to the Operations department.
Generate referrals from clients based on existing relationships & unmatched service delivery.
Champion cross-selling to and from other departments within Zamara.
Preparation of tenders.
Value Addition
Design & seek approval for value adding concepts.
Provision of technical expertise in the creation of new products and offerings.
Represent medical in marketing meetings with internal teams and also external forums that could assist in generation of leads.
Compliance
Preparation of contract documents, risk notes in adherence to set guidelines & within stipulated timeframe.
The following experience is preferred:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Business Development.
A degree/diploma in Actuarial Science/insurance/ business related degree/ sales or any other relevant degree.
Professional insurance certification is an added advantage.
Experience in Employee Benefits is an added advantage.

Main responsibilities:
Provide strategic advice and facilitate the development of network policy positions and advocacy strategies related to the achievement of inclusive conservation, human rights based approaches, and safe civic space for relevant global fora, (UNCBD, UNFCCC, UNCCD, High Level Political Forum for SDG, CSW, CITES, UNPFII) and regional fora as relevant.
Advice the professional, coherent and effective network engagement of diverse WWF Practices, offices and teams at appropriate policy dialogues relevant to inclusive conservation, human rights based approaches, and safe civic space.
Engage regularly in WWF’s Policy Managers network and coordinate with Policy leads in other Practices and GPAT to drive cross-practice and cross-topic policy coherence.
Liaise and co-ordinate with relevant external partners to drive powerful policy change and find best practice solutions to policy dilemmas in cooperation with Policy Manager and focal points for of above mentioned global fora.
Provide a research and radar capacity on external policy developments relevant to the position objectives, and advise on additional global fora offering advocacy opportunities.
Support capacity building of colleagues in the WWF network to develop skills and experience related to achievement of Practice outcomes.
Provide guidance to the VfD programme offices on policy advocacy on inclusive conservation, human rights based approaches, and safe civic space, under the Voices for Diversity programme and under arrangements approved by GOV Practice Leader.
Developing and utilizing a policy and advocacy monitoring plan including contribution to the achievement of PPLS and IPLC components of the New Deal for Nature and People.
Supported by the WWF-Kenya finance team and in consultation with the Deputy Governance Practice team leader and the WWF Sweden VfD Programme Coordinator, develop and manage budgets in line with the finance policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
University degree in a relevant discipline e.g. human rights, indigenous rights, and social dimensions of conservation, environmental policy, International relations, or similar disciplines.
5-7 years of professional policy experience in policy advocacy for conservation, environment and human rights or indigenous rights work.
Experience of working with governments, corporate sector, aid agencies, civil society, and NGOs.
Track record of delivering policy advocacy and impact.
In depth understanding of global and regional environmental, natural resources and geopolitical governance.
Strategic thinking and vision
Ability to effect change in a constructive and solutions oriented manner.
Outstanding communication, policy analysis, coordination and advocacy skills.
Fluency in English; Spanish and/or French an advantage; any other language/s an asset
Experience of working in complex organizations.

We are seeking a short-term hire for a highly motivated and results-oriented Full stack software developer to join our team at ACRE Africa. The Full Stack Software Developer, reporting to the Manager, Digital & Technology Programmes, is responsible for software development, system maintenance, and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance existing features and develop new functionalities while maintaining a high standard of code quality and documentation.
Knowledge & Capabilities

Job Purpose
To assist the Head of Technical Services in overseeing the Company’s Distribution & Distribution of water. Ensure that the technical assets (production and distribution) of the Company are acquired, maintained, and operated according to standards and specifications stipulated by the Service Agreement.
Duties & Responsibilities
Managing and directing project water production and distribution programs to meet the company needs.
Researching and advising management on new and emerging water treatment solutions
Supervision and appraisal of the production teams across all treatment facilities.
Preparation of daily workplans to mitigate against bursts, leakages and any other distribution network disturbance.
Ensuring optimum utilization of resources and providing professional leadership to Technical staff
Prepare and forward for approval periodic technical reports on water treatment and distribution for the approval of the technical manager
Implementation of the strategic plan and the business plan at the technical level and implementation of management resolutions
Management of company assets and ensuring proper maintenance schedules are created
Ensure Non-Revenue Water is reduced to acceptable limits
Ensure production is ongoing and that sufficient water is produced to meet demand
Ensure quality tests for compliance with water and wastewater quality standards and policies are done as per WASREB guidelines.
Make proposals and costing for new water and sewer extensions and make recommendations

Qualifications & Experience
A Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, or its equivalent
Higher National Diploma in lieu of the Bachelors degree with 7 years’ experience.
A Registered (Engineer) with a professional body in good standing.
Working Knowledge of GIS
Five (5) years relevant working experience with at least two (2) years in a Supervisory Position.
Must have attended a water treatment course from KEWI or equivalent.
Must have worked in a water company as a Water Supply Superintendent or an equivalent.
A certificate in supervisory skills will be an added advantage.
