    Hotel IT Specialist Digital Marketer

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Hotel IT Specialist with expertise in hotel management systems (Hotel Plus, Ezzy Burb, or equivalent) and a strong understanding of CCTV operations. This role is critical in supporting our hotel’s technology infrastructure to ensure seamless operations, security, and exceptional guest service.

    Key Responsibilities

    Hotel System Management (Hotel Plus, Ezzy Burb, or Equivalent)

    Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the hotel management system to ensure smooth daily operations, including reservations, check-ins, billing, and housekeeping.
    Train staff on system use, update user protocols, and maintain data integrity.
    Perform regular system updates, backups, and audits to support uninterrupted service and data security.

    CCTV System Management

    Install, monitor, and maintain the CCTV systems for reliable surveillance and security.
    Inspect cameras and systems regularly, troubleshooting and arranging repairs as needed.
    Ensure compliance with hotel security policies and data privacy standards related to video surveillance.

    General IT Support

    Assist with daily technical support for POS systems, guest Wi-Fi, office equipment, and network issues.
    Document and manage IT support tickets, ensuring quick resolution to minimize downtime.

    Network and Data Security

    Oversee the network infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure connectivity for both guests and staff.
    Implement security measures, such as antivirus, firewalls, and access controls, to protect hotel and guest data.

    Vendor Coordination and IT Asset Management

    Work with vendors for software updates, hardware repairs, and other services as needed.
    Manage IT inventory, ensuring availability and maintenance of essential hardware and software.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Experience: Minimum 2 years of IT experience within the hotel or hospitality industry.
    Technical Expertise: Proficient in Hotel Plus, Ezzy Burb, or other hotel management systems; strong knowledge of CCTV systems.
    Educational Background: Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
    Skills: Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Fundraising & Resource Development Lead

    Fundraising & Resource Development Lead

    Resource Responsibilities

    Specifically, the FRRD Lead will be responsible for but not limited to:
    Participates as an active member of the resource mobilization team.
    The FRRD Lead will work collaboratively with the Senior & Program Managers and may have operational FRRD market analysis and assessment of current and potential opportunities for Act!
    Support the review and analysis of calls (Requests) for proposals to determine the alignment with Act! mission and vision.
    Offer expertise in establishing suitability, competitiveness, and success potentials for each opportunity (published, or unsolicited).
    Be a strong team member of the FRRD team at Act!
    Contribute to (and sometimes lead) the actual design and proposals (and concepts) writing in the form of proposals and concept notes.
    Support the actual delivery of the new businesses developed in a capacity determined at the design phase (Advisor, Associate Consultant, Subject Expert, etc.) and for which the terms and conditions shall be agreed upon.

    FRRD Performance Standards & Measurement

    Contribute to the establishment of high FRRD standards of excellence for Act!
    Support the establishment and documentation of new program ideas and strategic opportunities for the development of full proposals by various program platforms.
    The performance of this role shall be measured by the actual outcomes from all the fundraising efforts that the Associate has participated in (actual funds received and new partnerships established).

    Qualification, Experience and Skills:
    Academic Qualifications

    A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant development field, resource mobilization, Business & management, or related field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.

    Professional Qualifications

    Must demonstrate mastery of resource mobilization techniques and corresponding success in the development sector as well as in the technical and advisory services realm (Technical Assistance) in sectors relevant to the work of Act!

    Experience

    Minimum 10 years’ experience in Fundraising and Resource Development in Kenya and the Eastern Africa Region in sectors relevant to the work of Act! These include Democracy & Human Rights; Peace Building and Conflict Transformation; Sustainable Environment & Natural Resource Management; and Civil Society Strengthening. Experience in partnership development with nontraditional donors is highly desirable.
