FKE seeks to ensure that national labour and social policy provides an environment favorable to enterprise sustainability and job creation. We are looking for a result driven professional to fill the following position:

The job holder will maintain financial records for the Federation and its affiliated Associations in accordance with established accounting principles and practice. This position reports to the Manager, Finance and supervises the Accounts Assistants.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement financial and accounting procedures as per the organisation policies
Implement computerisation of accounts and control systems
Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports and returns
Prepare budgets, cash flow statements, income & expenditure reports and statement of financial position as required
Ensure proper custody of FKE funds and proper operations of bank accounts
Maintain FKE asset registers
Ensure timely submission of all statutory returns including PAYE, VAT, NSSF and NHIF
Ensure timely payment and renewal of insurance policies, service agreements and utilities
Provide oversight to Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables
Supervise and provide on the job training to Accounts Assistants
Prepare Donor funded reports.
Assist the Manager, Finance in effective running of the Finance unit
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field
CPA (K) or ACCA 111 qualifications or its equivalent
5 years’ relevant experience in Accounting and Finance Management from a busy and reputable organisation
Current membership in a relevant professional body

Demonstrated analytical, interpersonal, communication, planning and reporting skills
A person of impeccable integrity, keen on details and meticulous in execution of duties
Demonstrated competence in managing budgets
Ability to multi-task
Flexible and able to productively work in a team, as well as individually with limited supervision
