Job description:
Translate and proofread Fiance from Chinese into English aiming to create error-free, quality deliverables to clients
Assist with Project Managers and Quality Managers on language-specific and formatting-related queries
Adhere to and update client-specific redaction and style guidelines
Juggle multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced client-deadline driven environment
Maintain focus and professionalism under time pressure
Provide feedback and recommendations on translation-related trends, workflows and possible improvements
Able to process constructively any feedback given on translations
Implement client revisions as necessary
Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably in translation or law
Native level of English comprehension, with verbal as well as written fluency
At least 3 years of prior translation/proofreading experience specifically in Financial Marketing
Versatility in MS Word usage, with advanced formatting experience
Proficient research skills using high level of logical and analytical thinking
Knowledge of common contractual terms
Cultural competency and excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English.
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
Other education degrees in Translation,Fianance or Accounting
Ideal candidate is self-motivated, eager to learn and capable of working alone
Familiarity with style and privacy guidelines for contract translations
Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
Experience in using CAT tools and/or other translation software (Trados, SDLX, WordFast)
