The position
We are looking for a Senior Corporate banker for our recently formed Corporate Banking Team. Aim is the built up a good quality portfolio by recruiting 3 – 5 wholesale clients a year. You will report the Head of Corporate Banking who doubles up as Chief Representative Officer.

Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
Masters degree is an added advantage
At least 7-10 years of experience in corporate banking.
Able to translate client’s needs into workable financing structures
Can lead deal execution: negotiation, termsheet preparation, credit application and legal documentation
Extensive direct exposure to and accountability for client relationships and ability to bring in relationships from your network (customer, banks and other industry participants)
Preferably experience in working in an emerging market
Excellent communication and commercial skills
Good writing and negotiation skills
Good command of the English language (verbal and written)
Ability to work under pressure;
Self-motivated achiever, strongly committed to meeting / exceeding objectives
Strong originator, commercial personality, persistent and resilient
Can stands on its own, willing and able to travel to neighbouring countries, pro-active & energetic
Willing to make an investment in gaining sector knowledge
Understands risk, is well aware of compliance aspects of banking and is a person of high integrity.
