Overall Purpose
The Data Analyst Intern will play an important role in assisting the Research Unit reach its objectives in generation of research knowledge for evidence based decision making in the Humanitarian sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
Database design
Identifying data sources, collect information/data on District/County level indicators.
Assist in managing core datasets through data gathering, coding and cleaning
Access and prepare data for use by other teams
Active participation in the design and maintenance of contextualized datasets for ongoing research assignments
Assist in preparation and presentation of core data
Assisting in desk research on topical issues and through literature and policy reviews in readiness for analysis.
Maintaining an awareness of the landscape and debates on data in the humanitarian sphere and flag this the research team.
Contributing to ICHA research papers, reports and blogs.
Minimum Qualifications
An undergraduate qualification in the field of data science, statistics, scientific research, econometrics, mathematics, computer science or similar discipline.
Any technical certificate in a related discipline (desirable).

Working knowledge of statistics and statistical software (R, Stata, SPSS)
