Introduction
Under guidance of the Blender, the Job holder is responsible for blending of spirits, wines, juices and RTD, receipt of raw materials, offloading of bulk wine and spirits, dispatch of product for bottling, and management of cellar equipment hygiene and tidiness. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure Primary Production is as efficient and safe as possible.Specification
Area 1: Blending
Under moderate supervision, performs basic, routine wine making and blending tasks including but not limited to: CIP and sanitizing Cellar fittings, hoses, fixed process lines, tanks, pumps, filters and water processing equipment.
Bulk product movements including racking, filtration, bulk offloading–set up and transfer of wine, spirit and juice to and from tanks, drums and tanker trucks
Blending of bulk for packaging in line with instructions provided and Making corrections to blended bulk wine, spirit and juice after a confirmation of the calculations by a Blender
Active participant in Winery 5S program
Participate actively in the winery MDWT team and meet set targets on the agreed upon goals
Measure and calculate routine workplace data.
Keep confidentiality on product related formulations and information
Responsible for compliance with the requirements of SOPs, policies and corporate operational efficiency/environmental measures cascaded to this position. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible results
Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard product/ personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety
Monitor process parameters;-Pressure, temperature, volumes, fermentation progress, Filtration efficiency and report deviations as soon as they occur.
Proper identification of Bulk and raw materials
Filtration of wine and availing sufficient quantity for Kingfisher use. Record volumes of wine at different process steps in the wine job ticket.

Requirements
A diploma in Food Science and Technology
A degree in Food Science and Technology is an added advantage
At least one (1) years’ experience in a manufacturing company
Practical experience in use of MS packages and ERP systems.
