Details:
Manage & supervise the functional and administrative duties and responsibilities of the accounts department. Functions as an advisor / consultant and keeps accurate business transactions in ledgers and ensures the team records them on financial statements monthly, quarterly and yearly. Lead and grow the team while controlling cost and improving productivity.
MAIN DUTIES:
Manages and supervises the functional & administrative duties & responsibilities of the Accounts department
Ensures compliance to accounting policies & procedures
On time preparation and reporting of periodic & year-end Financial Statements.
Preparation of budgets in close liaison with divisional managers and GM
Review and control of approved budgets
Management Reporting (MIS)
Asset, cash, accounts receivable management
Staff payroll administration
Co-ordination with division heads and senior management
Maintains involvement in each aspect where the intervention of finance is needed
Maintains banking relationship (Bank Facilities, Guarantees, POS transactions, etc…)
Co-ordination with auditors and making sure to achieve proper and on time reporting of reviewed and audited financials.
Compliance to legal requirements (e.g. Commercial Registrations, Civil Aviation, County licenses, etc…)
Maintains good relationship with customers, suppliers and other business partners and ensures all issues are being attended properly
Monitor airline and suppliers incentive, fixed assets, prepayments
Payroll (salary calculation and payment & monitoring staff benefits, e.g. Leave Salary and Indemnity)
Responsible for BSP reconciliation and timely process
Monitors BSP/IATA correspondences and required reports, credit card reconciliation
Monitors general invoicing, credit limits of customers, refunds, delivery of invoices timely, AR, petty cash custodian
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1-4 years’ experience in finance department
Education: Professional Certification either ACCA Qualified or CPA (K)
