Ipas Africa Alliance (AA) plans to enhance access to Sexual Reproductive Health through a multi-pronged approach that supports private pharmacies, public hospitals, community intermediaries and women and girls. Ipas will adopt lessons learned from previous User-Centered Design, review available literature to develop culturally appropriate prototypes that support women and girls to reduce cases of unintended pregnancies. Further, Ipas will not only develop a package of care to ensure service providers (including pharmacists) have the knowledge and resources to provide SRH services with emphasis on MA, but also increase community intermediaries and girls’ awareness on SRH services and facilitate referral, linkages and access to SRH services.The Project Associate will participate in the design, implementation and monitoring of the project. Specific roles will include coordination of formative research, prototype testing, validation of prototypes and collection of routine data collection in -line with the set data collection system/ structure. This will include organizing conducting field interviews as appropriate to the study, and records research data in accordance with specified protocol and procedures. The Associate will be expected to produce high quality reports, based on guidance from the program manager and travel to various sites within a specified geographical area, as appropriate to the objectives of the project. Duties and responsibilities are subject to modification at the discretion of the immediate supervisor.
Coordinates Ipas Kenya’s formative phase of the project
Coordinates and contributes significantly to the multiple project teams working on the project including the design, research and intervention teams.
Following the guidance provided by Ipas and recommendations on additional sources and topics covered during the formative phase, conduct desk review from relevant documents on the project including incorporation of previous lessons learned from previous User-Centered Design (UCD).
Coordinates and facilitate prototype validation in the intervention areas.
Ensures that all project training and orientation materials include content that is applicable to different community groups.
In liaison with the M&E unit, distributes data collection tools to all intervention sites and make regular follow up to confirm that required data is collected and submitted for reporting within the required timeline.
Participates in the development and facilitation of capacity building trainings and workshops for partner NGOs and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).
Develop quarterly work plans and activity budgets using provided templates in collaboration with in-country implementation teams.
Organizes and implements activities while ensuring timely delivery of outputs.
Establishes and develops links with partner organizations, institutions and interested groups to inform implementation of the project and engage them in project activities.
Documents project lessons learned, best practices and challenges and shares the results within the organization and with the stakeholders.
Represent Ipas at local community stakeholder forums when required.
Performs any other duty assigned by the Program Manager
Requirement
Bachelor’s degree & 3-7 years relevant experience

Experience on learning projects or structured learning and dissemination activities.
Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision.
