About The Role:
As Komaza’s Data Operations Team Lead, your primary focus will be to leverage the data operations team to provide critical data services to the rest of the company and link data outcomes and KPIs to appropriate operational activities. You will manage a team of Data Assistants that stand at the forefront of Komaza’s data management and data quality.
What You Will Do:
Manage a team of 5+ Data Assistants and Officers
Track the team’s performance & KPI’s
Conduct regular training to up skill the team
Design data collection, validation and processing systems for operational and activity data across value chain departments
Collaborate with Value Chain Departments (Nursery, Field Operations, Harvest, Processing) to assess their data needs and allocate appropriate resources
Be the first point of contact and support to the field teams in data collection (tool/form troubleshooting, data submission challenges, data accuracy questions etc.)
Work with Department Directors and Field Coordinators to design, develop and manage operational dashboards to track team and activity KPI’s
Work with field teams to report back on their progress, inform of any necessary operational/data related steps
Run the farmer call center, address/resolve any data issues and forward operational issues to relevant departments
Link operational data to appropriate field action
Work with the QA Associate to make sure the data collected is of highest accuracy and quality by co-developing and implementing QC procedures and data audits
What You Should Have:
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university preferably in Business Administration; a Masters of Science is desirable
A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in Field Data Collection
Experience managing a team and projects
Data Savvy – Experience in data analysis, data cleaning, creating dashboards a major plus
Proficiency with Data Analysis Software – R, Python, STATA or other data analysis language
