Associate Director of Case Management

Job Details
The Associate Director of Case Management oversees all day-to-day activities and management of the Case Management Program, as well as successful service delivery of the Safe House Program. This position ensures that team members uphold their role as advocates and provide a continuum of care and follow-up through a trauma-informed lens. H/She manages and advances program standards, procedures, budgets, reporting, and policies; manages staff performance; and works closely with the Director of Programs to carryout staff learning and improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Manage program policies and procedures and conduct frequent review to ensure all activities reflect high standards of care and protection.
Oversee comprehensive and coordinated program services that are rooted in evidenced-based and trauma-informed approaches. Work to embed, advance, and advise on these approaches in all aspects of RefuSHE’s programs.
Work closely with the Director of Programs to manage program evaluations, ensure improvement, and carry-out learning initiatives.
Oversee Safe House Program certification and reporting to the Children’s Department.
Provide oversight of all individual and group counseling taking place internally and externally.
Ensure the integrity of all files, registration information, and key information related to intake, follow-up, and documentation of all participants. Responsible for strengthening all data collection systems and analyzing and synthesizing statistics and demographic information.
Serve as the lead representative among key referral partners and specific working groups. Actively maintain and advance relationships with UNHCR, the Kenyan Children’s Department, and other key partners working within the child protection and refugee spaces.
Lead the case committee and support with assessing and developing action plans for complex cases, as well as supporting staff with a trauma-informed point-of-view.
Support with vetting new referrals and provide case management and counseling when necessary.
Lead bi-monthly program meetings with other program directors and leadership.
Ensure all Case Workers and Psychosocial Counselors are properly assessing needs and preparing individualized action plans and follow-up, as well as overseeing communication and flexible planning with the Safe House Program team, especially around orientation, exit strategies, and culturally sensitive counseling.
Provides quality assurance and oversight of all evaluation tracking tools, grant reporting, and communications.
Oversees all volunteers, interns, and interpreters.
Identify training needs for direct staff and provide ongoing development and support.
Ensures all program and client supplies are properly stocked and requests are supported.
Strengthen pool of referral agencies and ensure all are orientated on referral submission procedures. Develop and oversee new MOU’s with partner agencies.
Report on and share trends and insights observed by case management team and share among knowledge network and other key stakeholders.
Actively identify new funding opportunities, support proposal writing, and manage grant reporting.

Qualifications

Master’s in Social Work or Counseling; clinical certification preferred
Minimum of five-years-experience working in social service settings with children and youth; experience working with women and girls preferred.
Knowledge of nuanced refugee issues is essential; experience working in refugee settings a plus.
Experience in program evaluation and grant reporting
Proven track record of managing people and programs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to write reports and assessments.
Ability to assess team performance and support with staff development
English fluency required; proficiency in Somali or French a plus Must hold Kenyan citizenship
