Quality Assurance Engineer, will play a key role in the success of the CSM and PayGo’s operations. You will be the link between hardware development and operations handover. In order for PayGo to develop innovative, world-changing products and bring them to market quickly, the Quality Assurance Engineer, needs to be highly in tune with the Hardware Development, Operations and the customer needs. Your focus will be squarely on making sure CSMs are safely and effectively rolled out to the operations team for installations into homes.
Accountability
Ensure compliance with the newly approved Kenyan Standard for CSMs.
Conduct Incoming Goods Quality Control Assessments.
Conduct final assembly and QA of CSMs in Kenya.
Setup and Monitor process for QA/QC of CSMs
Setup Process for Monitoring and Maintaining CSMs during their operational life.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise with the rollout of CSMs.
Provide detailed R&D, QA and maintenance reports for the engineering, software and manufacturing teams to improve the product.
Work with standards bodies to develop and maintain new standards.
Conduct Lab calibration of the CSM.
Produce SOPs, Risk Assessments and setup Processes for ensuring the Quality of the CSM at all times during it’s working life.
Develop testing procedures for new hardware R&D.
Field Test new technologies and provide user feedback reports.
Build Prototypes and test new ideas quickly and often.
Create documentation for new products, services or working processes developed.
Minimum experience / qualifications:
BA/BS in an Engineering discipline, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of engineering, production, QA/QC or manufacturing experience.
Experience developing new products, prototyping and testing.
Experience troubleshooting / repairing electro-mechanical products.
Preferred experience / qualifications:
Experience working with gas equipment.
Comfortable working with Solidworks, Pro-Engineer, Rhino or other CAD software package.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above
Experience working in a QHSE capacity
Experience in the application of industry standards (international standards ISO 9001 and familiar with ISO 14001 and ISO18001)
