Finanace Officer Internal Auditor Communications Officer

Reporting to Principal Finance Officer the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring prudent management of financial resources and the reporting thereof within the existing legal and regulatory framework.
Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance reports for submission to management and the commission;
Computing corporate taxes and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements;
Collecting and reviewing various financial data for the preparation of financial statements and other reports for both internal and external use.
Preparing EPRA for its corporate-wide annual audit and monitoring implementation of the auditor’s recommendations.
Analyzing monthly general ledger account activity, journal entries, accruals, variances to forecast, and reconciliation of various accounts, fixed asset administration
Reporting on EPRA’s assets and liabilities including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets and updating the asset register

Qualifications

At least four (4) years working experience;
A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Accounts Commerce (Finance Option), Business Administration, Business Management, Economics or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
A Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Accounts Commerce (Finance Option), Business Administration, Business Management, Economics or its equivalent from a recognized institution; is an added advantage;
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) Or its equivalent;
Membership of professional body (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya ICPAK, ACCA) in good standing;
Certificate in supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution;
Demonstrated results in work performance;
Proficiency in Computer Applications;
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

Other requirements
Applicants are required to provide a detailed CV indicating their current and previous employers, positions held, current and expected salary, names of at least three professional referees, education and professional certificates together with a copy of national identity card or passport.
The shortlisted candidates will additionally be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of
Kenya 2010 and provide:

Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
Tax compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
