In line with our growth and expansion strategy, we are looking for suitable and qualified individual to fill the position of a Junior Application Developer. Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, the successful candidate will be expected to: –
Work with various API’s across all our partners to and ensure APIs are connected seamlessly from back-end to consumer-facing channels
Develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based business applications
Assist in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, and estimates
Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software
Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
Package and support deployment of releases
Work with teammates in the migration of older applications to current technologies
Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications
Analyze and resolve technical and application problems
Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience as a developer
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Strong language and communication skills
Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. PHP and Python) and front-end developments (e.g. VUJS, JavaScript)
Solid understanding of relational database design and querying concepts
Knowledge of client/server application development
Experience with Agile Development Methodology
Expertise with the Android ecosystem, including deep knowledge of the Android SDK and/or other development environments for Android
