To support the growth of business development and program activities in the Africa region. Reporting to the Director, Health, the Regional Business Development Manager is a unique position offering the opportunity for an individual to straddle both the business development and program implementation continuum.
As part of the Global health team, and complying with all corporate policies and procedures, the jobholder will be required to undertake the following tasks:
LOE split:
25% Program Implementation Support
75% Business Development
Activities include, but not limited to:
Landscape analysis of tier 1 and tier 2 priority countries for new business opportunities and pre-positioning activities
Pipeline management – continuous review of USAID, DFID, World Bank, EU forecasts
Research new funding stream opportunities for Crown Agents with a particular focus on the foundation and corporate market
Gain a solid understanding of the current health portfolio and lead efforts to replicate learnings across other country platforms e.g. HPF in South Sudan, RBF in Zimbabwe
Provide business development capacity training and support to all international offices
Stakeholder management on key current accounts.
Grow Crown Agents health profile within the global health market
Support bid development process to include pre-positioning, consortium building, writing and budgeting
Liaise with other business pillars at Crown Agents for joint new business collaborations
Any other duties as appropriate to the position, as requested.
