Business Development Executive

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Account Manager, Business Development Executive (BDE) will play a major role in assisting the company acquire new customers and sell new solutions to existing client. This is a crucial role for the business and the BDE should have the ambition to expand or diversify the clientele in order to achieve the targeted revenue. The BDE will also be involved in Research and Development to help towards developing new products.
Key Performance Indicators

Identifying new sales leads
Closing of Sales
Pitching products and/or services
Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers

Responsibilities

Market research to identify new leads and potential new markets
Researching the needs of potential clients and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
Relationship building with potential clients by visits, emails and phone calls
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events

Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
Developing and quotes and proposals
Acquisition of new clients through closing of sales

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related fields
At least 2 Years of similar work experience
Knowledge of the Manufacturing and Energy Sectors in Kenya will be an added advantage
Strong communication and People skills
Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
In-depth knowledge of the market and its current events
The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations
Attention to detail
