JOB PURPOSE
This Role is responsible for the Procurement and delivery of the ITrequirements of the Opco. It is critical to the achievement of the Opco’s Sales, Distribution, Customer Services, Products & Value Added Services and Brand & Marketing Objectives and will require the role holder to develop supplier market relationships that will ensure that at all times, business needs are met in a timely manager, from the right sources, in the appropriate volumes, at the right prices, at the best quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Make market-relevant contribution to the development of category sourcing strategies
Ensure the adoption of all Global Contracts through the implementation of Contracts of Adherence (CoAs’).
Work with Business Requestors to ensure the proper scoping and specification of requirements as well as other imperative such as budget availability and Capex/Opex Authorization Form approvals.
Ensure the placement of orders as per the agreed contract terms and commercials and procurement policy.
Expedite delivery of all orders according to terms.
Contribute to annual business operating planning process by providing category specific and relevant information. This may vary with needs but make include spend data, benchmark pricing, projected pricing trends, customs and tax related developments etc.
Conduct supply market analysis including supplier research, country dynamics, investigate and secure new/alternative sources of supply, technology and services, review existing commercial models for opportunities to increase margins through the lowering of costs.
Recommend strategic options to SCM management for review and approval.
Maintain very fast turnaround of all Business Requirements to ensure timely fulfilment of business demands.
Own the Order Lifecycle Process from Requisition through approvals to delivery and receipting.
Review open purchase orders with users and suppliers for closure or receipt as applicable
Responsible for business partner performance evaluation and monitoring.
Support Network/IT/technical functions in managing the contract execution and ensuring compliance with contractual SLA and KPI’s.
Support Global, Africa HQ and Opco Process & Governance teams in the development, deployment and management of all Partner Performance Reviews and Satisfaction Survey exercises.
Ensure timely compilation and reporting of all functional performance measures as may be required by the SCMD, Opco, Global & Africa HQ Governance & Process Team.
Ensure all partner contract governance meetings are taking place and use the process to address all business partner disputes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Electronics Engineering is a must
Additionally a Degree/HND in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration .
A Post-Graduate Business Qualification is not a must but is desirable, especially for the Engineering Biased candidate Bachelor of Technology with in-depth understanding of telecom trends
5 – 10 years’ experience in IT Procurement/Commercial or related field in a busy multinational environment.
Relevant Category experience would be an advantage
Knowledge of Oracle or any other ERP system and Ms Excel
Prior experience in a telecoms environment is not a must but is desirable
Demonstrable ability to interdependently in a work cross functional and a matrix environment is a must
