The Position:
Reporting to the Administration Director, the Senior HR & Admin Officer will oversee all day to day HR and Administration activities of the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
Developing modern Human Resource management strategies and comprehensive action plans.
Handles administration of staff contracts and translation of terms of service.
Develop and implement effective employee relations strategies
Management of the staff medical scheme.
Management of all staff leave in the Company.
Advising on disciplinary cases arising
Enforcement of the company policies and procedures.
Handling employee complaints.
Participate in payroll preparation and review.
Reporting on statutory deductions.
Ensuring legal compliance on Bowip’s HR Policies.
Drafting of press adverts related to recruitment of staff.
Participation in the recruitment and selection and placement process of staff this includes, short-listing and arranging for interviews.
Preparation of Board papers on staff matters related to terms and conditions of service.
Participation in training of staff as a trainer.
Participation in the preparation of annual budget for staff salaries and wages.
Maintain updated staff records
Supervise administrative activities being undertaken in the company
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
The ideal candidate should have:
A BSc degree in Human Resource Management or BSc Social Sciences or business Administration with HR Diploma
Member of IHRM
At least 5 years’ experience in Human Resource
