Main Duties/Responsibilities

Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
Research develop and document technical design specification and test scripts
Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy materials
Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
Produce visuals, use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding
Determine the needs of the end users of technical documentation Deliver all documentation for final verification and validation by quality teams in advance of Product Launch
Own the document management process including versioning, change control, and approval workflows.
Own the documentation toolset, standards and templates.
Proactively assess the documentation tools and method against emerging technology.
Identify opportunities for continual improvement of customer documentation deliverables (Voice of Customer Assessments, documentation roadmap, etc.)
Maintain systems for document storage and retrieval and help train employees on efficient system usage. They are also responsible for document security, for assigning access, and for removing and destroying obsolete documents.
Plans and directs documentation projects for timely delivery of documents, publications, and online content
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and other writers on creating and reviewing documentation continuously
Improve knowledge through reading and self-study
Ensuring all projects are properly documented as per the Company’s set standards
Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisors

Education

A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management
A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field

Skills & Experience

At least 1-2 years’ experience creating process and procedure manuals and/or training documentation in the IT field
Excellent technical writing skills and strong command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and syntax and proofreading ability is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe Acrobat as well as, tracking, document management, and retention tools
Strong writing and editing skills; experience with software documentation preferred
Experience in a software development company a plus
