The Director of Operations (GME) will shape a global team and build high-level stakeholder relationships in order to ensure exceptional service delivery to Bible Societies around the world through capacity building, project support and international grant management.
A day in the life of United Bible Societies Association’s (UBSA) Director of Operations (GME) includes:
As a member of the Global Mission Leadership Team (GMLT), contribute to the overall strategic direction, planning and achievements of UBSA.
Provide inspirational and directional leadership to the Global Ministry Exchange team, shape the team to ensure skills are matched to areas of service delivery, and to support the development of the team members’ professional skills.
Raise the standard of processes in the administration of the International Support (Grant)
Program as a client oriented service to Bible Societies.
Define performance management KPI’s to monitor operational success against objectives.
Support Bible Societies in monitoring and evaluating projects, providing training and capacity building as required.
Who are you?
Experienced operating in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity to different worldviews, and with a collaborative leadership and stakeholder engagement style.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with confident communication skills in French or Spanish being an advantage.
A leader with the ability to inspire, motivate and encourage.
A successful track record in understanding customer needs and shaping service delivery.
Professionally education to Degree level.
A strategic thinker.
Proven ability to lead process and culture change.
What you need to know:
This role is a full-time, permanent position operating either out of one of our global hubs (Swindon, Nairobi, Singapore, Miami) or home-based. The Global Mission Leadership Team are currently underrepresented in South America, Africa, and Asia, and United Bible Societies Association would therefore encourage applications from candidates based in these regions. This position requires frequent international travel.
