REPORTS TO Country Director – East Africa

JOB OBJECTIVE – Business development for Thales group activities (Civil & Defence) within the East African region.
Roles & Responsibilities

Build strong relationship with the Customers and set up action plans for developing business and enhancement of Customer satisfaction
Develop full awareness of Customer environment and Competition
Contribute to the Country Strategic Plan
Identify , qualify and develop Business opportunities achieve growth and profitability goals
Contribute to enhancing, coordinating and updating the GCRM,
Support the Sales teams in actions required for order intake as well as entire bid process, be accountable for OI forecasted for the area
Explore potential Partners and develop partnership agreements to enter in new markets
Suggest, run, and participate in promotional plan for Accounts and measure performance of such activities as well as Customer satisfaction
Follow-up the project during the implementation phase in coordination with Project teams
Frequent travels within the region are expected

Work Experience Requirements

About 10 years proven experience in business development, sales and/or key account management), experience of doing business in Africa
Ability to interact with a Multinational corporation
Experience in having successfully dealt with governmental or state own agencies
Capability in building teaming strategy with local and/or international companies of the sectors
Experience in client and stakeholder management.

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Preferably MBA/Bsc. (Engineering) from reputable local/international University or Business School
Preferred Skills

Excellent communication in English (speaking & writing)
Strong inter-personal & networking skills
Autonomous but naturally sharing, reporting, coordinating actions & decisions, ability to develop team spirit
Demonstration of high ethical standards and reliability
Candidate must have good knowledge & interest in advanced technologies
