Sales Executive

The Sales Executive is accountable for managing and closing on all sales activities in the pipeline. The role will work closely with the Business Development team to ensure potential deals/clients are converted to tangible sales deals.
In your role as Sales Executive you will:

Liaise with Business Development Executives (BDEs) to understand leads originating from donors (RFI/RFQ/RFP) or implementer HQs
Monitor and action upcoming RFI/RFQ/RFPs
Identify new sales opportunities not originating from BDEs
Identify, gather and lead cross-functional bid teams
Perform the actual sale to BRHC customers (implementers & governments)
Proactively engage with customers during proposal phase (to the extend allowed by public sector process)
Lead proposal development and typically write exec summary, financials and other generic chapters of the proposal
Lead proposal presentation to customers, supported by bid team as required
Lead proposal negotiations with customers
Develop and implement closing plan
Hand over won projects to BRHC client success team
Qualify bids to ensure focus is on the right bids whilst maintaining a strong win rate and we maintain a strong win rate
Manage own pipeline and individual bids, through to successful completion
Keep current with industry trends and best practices and key issues facing potential donors, implementors and competitors
Prepare and deliver high impact presentations, effectively representing BroadReach’s business and value proposition
Be a valued member of the global Solutions team
Ensures that Dynamics365 correctly represents the current view of the pipeline for own deals
Be deal focused and manage the deals assigned tenaciously

The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelors Degree in related field and preference will be given to candidates that hold a post grad degree/ MBA.
Experience & skills

Minimum 10-15 years of experience in a senior role, in a sales environment operating within Africa in the international development space
Ideally a public health specialist understanding the climate and landscape within Africa
Strong connections and networks within the international development arena in Africa
Strong experience with donors/USG grants a must
Demonstrated experience in writing proposals and closing deals with clients
A management consulting background would be advantageous
Understanding and working knowledge of and belief in the power of technology to boost impact of development projects
Excellent partner focus, strong attention to detail and the ability to operate in a dynamic solutions-based organization
