The Lubricants B2B Manager will be responsible for offering lubricants technical support to all consumers, maintaining profitability and market share of the lubricants business, identifying and developing new marketing opportunities of Lubricants in the country.
Reporting to the Lubricants Sales Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible for the following: –
Ensuring HSEQ policy implementation and compliance at customer locations
Leading a sales team and over-seeing the operations of the ANAC laboratory
Achieving & setting yearly targets for Volumes & Margins in all B2B segments
Monitoring the performance and maintenance of lubrication equipment at customer sites
Advising customers and prospecting on product recommendations based on lubrication surveys
Implement used oil analysis and facilitate used oil sampling for customers
Interpreting oil analysis lab reports and advising customers accordingly
Conducting technical trainings for customers and prospects
Managing the lubricant market segment in his/her region to ensure effective & profitable growth
Carrying out market intelligence in B2B segment to obtain competitor information, carry out quarterly price surveys thus making recommendations to the lubes manager to secure and grow the Lubricants business
Ensuring strict adherence to credit policy by all consumers
Conducting & coordinating testimonials and field tests/trials at customer/prospects locations for new / existing products with the aim of acquiring new business or switching customers to new and higher performance products
Advising the Lubricants Manager of any market/customer changes affecting monthly sales forecasts, blending and importation of lubricants
Optimizing CAPEX and OPEX expenses like Equipment maintenance, seminars, promotions, mileage etc
Liaising with customer care & depot for customer order processing
Liaising with dispatch and distribution team for local deliveries
Monitoring depot stocks and liaising with other depots and the blending plant for product transfers
Advising blending plant on how to prioritize blending
Carry out the roles of customer account(s) management
Candidate profile
The job holder will require the following minimum qualifications: –
Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical/Production/Chemical Engineering. Post graduate training in Technical/Business fields preferred
Four (4) years’ experience in Lubes business, technical support & training, sales and marketing environment
Ability to build professional working relationship with internal and external customers
Ability to coach and lead a team
Customer Centric and performance minded
Commercial acumen will be an added advantage
