QHSE Manager

Job description
The Quality, Health & Safety and Environment Manager is responsible for promoting and ensuring the quality of the works, health and safety of Voltalia workers and subcontrators, the compliance with the environmental requirements and the continuous improvement processes to satisfy stakeholders and ensuring legal compliance.
MISSION

Ensure the implementation in the local organization of the QHSE Policies, Procedures and QHSE documentary organization defined by Voltalia Group;
Ensure the local Quality, Health & Safety and Environment legal compliance;
Supervise and maintain the legal and contractual documentation for the project, as permits, licenses, authorizations and other relevant documentation, according to the legal requirements and the Client request. Monitoring the existence national and international applicable standards;
Participation on the Risk Assessment analysis for all the activities, development of the Quality Plan, Inspection and Testing Plans, HSE Plan, Preventive Instructions, Method
Statements, Checklists and other specific local QHSE documentation;
Supervise the laboratory activities and equipment, monitoring their calibrations;
Supervise the Subcontractors quality control, including their documentation and testing and measuring equipment;
Development and implementation of the Emergency Plans;
Training of workers and subcontractors of Voltalia in the QHSE Plans, Emergency Plans, Inspection and Control Plans, Procedures, Inductions, Toolbox Tools, Emergency
Drills and Awareness actions;
Conduct QHSE monitoring of the site, with periodic visits to the workplaces; safety inspections and audits for Quality, Health, Safety & Environment matters;
Report Quality, Health & Safety and Environment KPI´s in a monthly basis;
Reporting immediately any non-conformity or incident, developing further required investigations;
Voltalia representation towards official agencies in case of accident (environmental or safety);
Participation in QHSE meetings, internal and external with Subcontractors, Suppliers and Clients.
Leading the operational Quality and HSE local Technicians, whether they are from Voltalia or Subcontracted to external entities;
Search for continuous improvement through audits and monitoring of internal processes, ensuring the implementation and effectiveness of the action plans (corrective and preventive actions)

PROFILE

Education: Technical level Graduation (Degree in Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, Environment or Quality or related areas studies is a plus).
Professional Experience: Experience equal or greater than 5 years in similar positions.
Knowledge/Specific Training:Training in Health and Safety at Work and/or Environment;
Training in Audits;First Aid training;
Pedagogical competence training;
Excellent knowledge of the law, regulations and standards of Quality, Health & Safety and Environment (ISO 9001, OSHAS 18001 and ISO 14001);
Languages : Official native language + fluent English – Portuguese, Spanish or French would be a plus
