To ensure strong governance and portfolio oversight of Structured Trade and lending his skills across SSA
Drive the growth of the Structured Trade Products in EA, measuring the performance of the countries, driving internal and external Sales support.
Develop the Structured Trade Product offering across managed countries. The function will mainly focus on Structured Trade origination and execution effort across clients located in managed countries. In addition to origination responsibilities, the position will include the role of a Sponsoring officer for selected transaction execution once mandates are won
Key Responsibilities:
To drive a significant incremental revenue stream to Product PandL by focusing on origination and devpt of new solutions and execution of Structured Trade opportunities with clients in select SSA countries; .
The candidate will help build on current strength of Structured Trade in the select countries to identify and develop TM and client segments and pitch for opportunities across the client base;
There will be a need to engage in value added discussions with clients to achieve the status of “trusted advisor” and ensure comprehensive follow-through on identified opportunities to convert pipeline to wins
The candidate will need to partner with regional and cross-regional Structured Trade transactors to build a partnership for “winning” the most profitable and credit worthy transactions;
Coordinate and interact closely with banking team and risk approvers to obtain credit/consent approvals for Structured trade transactions, providing product knowledge, support and guidance.
Ensure Citi is at the forefront of new product development, deal innovation and continue to to identify cutting edge new opportunities for the business to grow;
Coordinate/prepare and be part of the marketing pitches / RFPs/ proposals / commitment letters / mandate letters to clients and negotiating the terms thereof in accordance with approvals and Citi’s risk policies and legal standards;
On transactions originated, prepare be the sponsoring officer to coordinate the execution of mandated transactions for clients in close partnership with other stakeholders (as applicable) arrangers / syndicate lenders, internal / external facility agents and security trustees, middle-office teams etc. including necessary deal closing procedures.
Where necessary, working with CMO partners to structure and execute Agency-guaranteed bond transactions.
Working with Trade Risk Distribution team to help Trade effectively manage its balance sheet, individual credit exposures and where relevant maximise skim revenues.
Adhering to requirements of the different Structured Trade Product programs, both for specific transactions as well as in relation to ongoing requirements for portfolio monitoring and reporting.
Ensuring that Structured Trade deal pipeline, asset sales reports, portfolio reports, etc. are kept updated on a timely basis.

Knowledge/Experience:
Track Record and sound knowledge of Structured Trade – Designing and implementing new Product processes and procedures for Structured Trade.
Strong understanding of Risk management and Originating deals.
