Field Interviewers for Signal Function Survey in Kenyan Public Health Facilities.
The APHRC seeks to recruit 7 Nursing Officers to support the Quality of PAC research project, to be conducted in 7 counties in Kenya (Kajiado, Nairobi, Kiambu, Laikipia, Migori, Garissa and Mandera).
The main aim of the project is to assess the overall quality of PAC services offered in public health facilities in Kenya (represented by the seven counties).
Major Responsibilities:
Use structured signal function questionnaires to collect data in health facilities on quality of PAC services
Keep in custody all study related equipment and records
Ensure timely return of results
Prepare and submit field progress and reports weekly
Perform other duties assigned by the project supervisor and manager.
Skills and Qualifications
A licensed Nurse with practicing experience in Kenya
Experience working in a clinical setting (hospital or clinics), coordinating field work of research activities
Some experience in sexual and reproductive health of women particularly post abortion care is an advantage
Supervisory/leadership skills
Some experience in sexual and reproductive health of women particularly post abortion care is an advantage
Report writing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in English and Swahili
