7 – 10 years’ work experience
Team leadership experience preferred

Who You’ll Work With
You will work in our Nairobi office and will report to the CEO of Generation Kenya.
Generationis the world’s largest, fastest scaling global youth employment program, providing young adults with the opportunity to launch successful careers and change their life trajectories. Our goal is to deliver for young adults and employers simultaneously supporting the personal and financial well-being of young people, while helping businesses acquire entry-level hires who are higher productivity, higher quality, retain longer, and are faster to promotion than peers. Generation is the first program of Generation Incorporated a non-profit founded by McKinsey & Company, with the aim of training and employing 1 million youth in 5 years. Generation is active in 5 countries to date – USA, Kenya, Spain, Mexico and India and is expanding to 3 more countries in 2018.
What You’ll Do
You will help Generation grow and achieve the objective of self-sustainability through acquiring new employer partners while creating and increasing paid placements with existing partners.
You’ll also focus on increasing Generation’s branding profile across the country through publicity, social media exposure and visibility of high profile events. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to develop a strategy to ensure marketing objectives are met and monitor and report the effectiveness of said strategies.
Together with the business development team, you’ll brainstorm new project strategies, and you will also manage employer relations and accounts while ensuring paid placements for our Generation graduates. From an events management perspective, you will liaise with event organizers and influencers, key employment forums, and other relevant people to enhance mentoring, funding and connections.
