OBJECTIVE: R code optimization and pricing of products across Blue Marble’s global portfolio
START DATE: Immediate
DURATION: 6 months, renewable
PROJECT IN SCOPE
BMM is accelerating and piloting ventures in Africa, South America and South Asia. The project is to optimize our R code, own pricing requests and support product design across the global portfolio. The project will include getting familiar with our pricing platforms and providing quality assurance on the code.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN TASKS
Optimize R code
Execute pricing requests across the Blue Marble portfolio
Support the design of products across the Blue Marble portfolio
Quality check R code in the platforms
SKILLS
Expertise in R with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Background in actuarial sciences
Preferred knowledge of GIS applications (e.g. ArcGIS)
Preferred knowledge of Python
Expertise dovetailing R scripts with visualisation
Preferred experience in the financial inclusion space
Ability to structure and manage complex tasks
Excellent analytical skills
Resourcefulness
Ability and drive to work independently
