Role overview
The purpose of the placement is to support implementation of Volunteering for Development project in VSO’s programming scope in Kenya
Skills, qualifications and experience
A diploma/degree in Education/social sciences with interest in engaging on Education and Equity related policies
Knowledge or experience in project cycle management is an added advantage
Ability employ various techniques in facilitating trainings among children and adults
Ability to travel to other counties to deliver project activities
Ability to work as part of a team in an organized and flexible approach
Good communication and ICT skills and ability to manage organization resources
A valid Kenyan certificate of good conduct is required for this placement.

Allowance
As a VSO volunteer, you will be sharing your skills with local communities on a full time basis. VSO will cover your travel, vaccinations, accommodation, and medical insurance costs, along with a local living allowance which will be paid in local currency. This allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home. You will also receive some financial support to contribute to your on-going expenses at home.
Accommodation VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which means accommodation varies and will be basic.
