Marketing Officer

Scope:
The holder of the position is expected to support the Business Development Team through effective implementation of the marketing strategies that will support the functioning and enhancement of the marketing functions which include but not limited to sales management, advertising, communications, events and promotions, public relations, product review and development, market research, pricing and customer service. He or she will support the marketing and business development functions by carrying out the daily tasks that keep the department functioning
Roles and responsibilities

Develop and implement the Marketing strategy/plan geared to toward achieving the goals stipulated in the company strategy.
Assist the Business Development manager in defining the marketing channels for the company products.
Product development in sync with the target customer segment
To assist with the review, design and production of effective promotional and marketing materials (new and existing) and ensure their distribution and delivery within the set timelines and budget allocation.
Carry out market research and gathering of marketing intelligence information that would assist in product review and development.
Organize events and exhibitions for products promotions and activations
Monitor and manage company’s website and social media platforms through development, design of content with an aim of increasing traffic and creating business leads.
Weekly and monthly reporting on all marketing activities
Any other duty as may be assigned

Qualifications

A higher diploma or a bachelor’s degree in either Marketing, communications, business administration or a related field
At least two years active experience in online marketing, research and product development and activation in a Financial Institution
