Commercial Finance Manager

Role Summary:
Responsible to develop innovative solutions to deliver customer outcomes and drive growth while managing company risk/reward. Seasoned, senior level individual contributors and managers requiring in-depth understanding of their business or function and how their role integrates with others within their discipline. Role requires good understanding of clients, industry, function and commercial markets.
Essential Responsibilities:

Role is responsible for commercial fiancé support on high-value BHGE opportunities requiring commercial acumen and financing expertise to create unique customer solutions combining equipment sales, financing and advocacy.
Coordinate deployment of GE Financing capabilities from GE Capital and external relationships to drive execution and differentiate GE value proposition to the customer in large multi-business transactions
Engage financiers, investors and multilaterals to provide financing on critical transactions and unlock orders and opportunities to maximize GE content across the GE store including BGHE and other verticals.
Responsible for developing overall financing approach to complement technical and commercial strategies
Translate market, commercial, technical and financing elements into an integrated solution that differentiate GE offering to the customer
Conduct deal due diligence, screening, negotiations with 3rd parties and governments and coordination of deal execution
Build investment rationale for industrial business on appropriate financing strategy on a deal by deal basis i.e. vendor financing, balance sheet financing, or third party driven financing as appropriate based on deal economics
Develop financial models of transactions to support investment rationale

Qualifications/Requirements:

Masters or advanced degree in a business or technical field from an accredited university or college
At least 10 years of cross-functional professional experience in marketing, sales, engineering, product management or a related function, including at least 3 years experience leading diverse teams
Strong written and oral communication skills suitable for making presentations to internal and external business executives, and for supporting GE executive external communications.
Experience working globally with deep understanding of Energy (Oil & Gas, Power) sectors internationally. Strong familiarity with African Oil & Gas, Power segments is critical
Preference for candidate with working experience in Emerging Markets i.e. Asia, Africa, Latin America
Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the roles location

Desired Characteristics:

Advanced degree in electrical, mechanical, or electric power engineering from an accredited university or college
Experience negotiating large Energy (Oil & Gas, Power) transactions with project developer, investors and governments
Working relationships and strong familiarity with Commercial Banks, Financiers, Investor and Multilaterals
Experience advocating, negotiating and engaging with Governments around Africa
Solid technical understanding of the general Energy (Oil & Gas and Power) landscape in Africa
Ability to motivate and influence individuals and teams
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
