Regional Director

Job description
The Regional Director defines, facilitates, applies and enforces the commercial strategy of the group in accordance with the global strategy of the company.
Reporting to the Managing Director in Switzerland, you will be responsible for 38 countries, with 10 direct reports and heading up a regional headquarter office with a team of 30.
Your key accountabilities are the following:

Responsible for the regional Profit and Loss of the business unit
Create local regional business plans which are in alignment with the overall company’s strategy
Create and maintain strong relationships with new and existing stakeholders (Ministry of Health, NGOs, etc.)
Lead a team of regional managers through sales training, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) development and evaluation.
Execute a solid succession plan
Implement Group culture and values in the region and ensure adherence of it within the full team of employees based in the region
Responsible for training agents, distributors, consultant and other third-party contractors including Group’s Code of Conduct
Identify innovative opportunities
Impact on business

Meet the region’s budget goals for the entire product portfolio segment
Responsible for the regional Profit and Loss of the business unit
Optimise business within the frame of Group strategy

People Leadership

Responsible for regional office in general / area managers /country managers

Steer and implement the business policy

Interpret Regulatory, Compliance and legislative issues
Lead and organise the senior management team, offer regular advice on the business approach and the messages to convey to the clients.

Fluency in English. French & Danish are advantageous

Education
Master level education (MBA or equivalent commercial diploma)
Experience
Overall 15 years’ experience of which a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales at management level. Pharmaceutical or Public health industry is an advantage.
