Senior Research Analyst

Job description
Responsibilities:

Senior Analyst role is data driven role
Senior Analysts at IDC work both independently and collaboratively across Research Groups in MEA
Conduct primary and secondary research focused in MEA for IT devices and technologies including but not limited to: Mobile Phones and PC Monitors
Goal is to be able to perform market sizing/brand share for responsible technologies for the countries/regions assigned to you
Role is extremely Data Entry Intensive and we need the person to use their superior Excel and Statistical modeling skills to be able to enter and analyze large sheets of data in most efficient manner
Identify and maintain the correct industry contacts and obtain the information needed to perform market sizing and understand market trends
Ability to work well under pressure and strictly adhere to deadlines
Regularly work with quantitative market sizing and forecast tool
Consistently analyze business and market trends from large data sets
Regularly write insightful reports (including publications and press releases) with ability to draw meaningful conclusions from dat
Contribute to custom research engagements, including with other teams within IDC
Contribute to business development by building and maintaining industry relationships
Public speaking and periodic public presentations at IDC events and clients
Prepare strong qualitative write ups and required documentations each quarter

Qualifications

Excellent written and spoken English
University degree
Market research experience, preferably with knowledge of the ICT market
Printing and document solutions/Mobile Phones industry knowledge, IT hardware distribution or channel management is preferred

Candidate has to be able to demonstrate:

Experience with primary and secondary research
High proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office software packages
Ability to discuss and provide a view on market trends
Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Good interviewing skills and communication style
Ability to develop and maintain industry and channel contacts
Solid business acumen, a general enthusiasm for exploring IT Markets and Developments
Familiarity with high-tech markets and a background in market research, product management, consulting, financial analysis, marketing, journalism etc.
