Responsibilities for the Product Developer Job
Identifying the market for new products prospects & low performing product for retails & project sales
Prepare reports and recommendations based on new product trials
Coordinate shelf life studies with the laboratory technician
Will be responsible for initial business development with sales target
To prepare proposal & plan for new product launches, market research survey before launching of new products
Coordinate outside testing by third parties
Lead new product and packaging innovations and coordinating activities
Lead and generate strong consumer insight for New Products
Collect samples for internal and external review
To analyze the market and competition to identify the opportunities, threats and key issues
Work closely with marketing to develop prototype for products
Designing of sales promotional inputs including visual-aids, Leave behind literatures sales
Work hand in hand with Area Sales Manager on a specific geographic territory to address the technical sales related issues
Gather the competitor’s information from market in a MIS format thru focus groups & research personnel visits
Conduct periodic product analysis and optimize as needed
Qualifications for the Product Developer Job
Degree in Industrial Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering or related field
At least 5 years’ experience in Technical Sales or Product Management
Experience of working in paint related industry a plus.
Knowledge of HSE systems and processes and strong safety ethics
MS Office proficient
Good leadership skills, team leader, proactive with excellent communication skills.
Self-motivated, takes initiative and has creativity
