JOB GROUP ‘H’ 
a) Duties and responsibilities
This will be the entry and training grade for assistant agricultural officers’ cadre. An officer at this level will be deployed at in the ward or Agriculture Training Centre.
Duties and responsibilities will involve training and advising farmers on matters related to crop production, Agribusiness, land development, planning and management of agricultural demonstration plots.
b) Requirements for appointments
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
Kenya certificate of secondary education [KCSE], mean grade C- or its equivalent.
A Diploma in any of the following fields: Agriculture, Agriculture and Economics, Agriculture Education, Horticulture or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
