Job Description
The Communications & Outreach Associate coordinates and monitors various offline marketing and public relations activities.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all on-site and off-site events including but not limited to:
Academic events, such as orientation and alumni reunion
Off-campus events, like graduation and year-end concert
Expos and exhibitions, such as industry expos
Partner events, like boot camps, launches and conference
Staff events, such as team building retreats
Special celebrations, like anniversaries
Design, resource and execute career mentorship events for high schools and colleges
Develop, monitor and manage the collateral procurement plan, process and budget
Gather and review data to inform message development and reputation management
Develop and execute marketing campaigns (including messaging and budgeting)
Plan and implement public relations outreach with an emphasis on offline media
Interface with vendors to procure collateral, deliver events, etc.
Continually exploit opportunities to:
position the Institute as a thought leader and innovator for the creative economy
enhance the profile of the leadership team, students and staff
Monitor and enforce brand compliance at all touchpoints with the public
Serve as main liaison for media coverage and external PR agencies
Represent the Company at industry events, in Kenya and globally
