Legal Intern

The internship is full time for a minimum of 10 weeks and can begin in either May or June 2017. This internship is eligible for a small stipend if outside funding cannot be obtained.
Responsibilities:
The scope of the internship will cover, but is not limited to:
Assist members of our legal team with researching and writing reproductive rights-related submissions to United Nations and regional human rights bodies.
Assist of our legal team with monitoring and documenting of media coverage of the Center and updating media placements archives.
Bluebooking and fact-checking as needed for current reports and publications.
Support administrative duties.
Qualifications:
Current law student or recent graduate
Strong legal research and writing skills
Demonstrated an interest in gender/women’s issues and reproductive rights
Taken Constitutional Law and International Law classes
Demonstrated knowledge of international and regional human rights law and knowledge of human rights systems and mechamisms
