Purpose:
To provide technical assistance in the repair and maintenance of the avionics of the AIM AIR aircraft, in addition to equipment brought to Radio Base for repair in a timely manner while ensuring good workmanship.

Responsibilities: Maintaining AIM AIR Avionics – General Engineering
To troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment serviced by the Radio Base.
Assist in scheduled and unscheduled inspections as required by the regulations/Maintenance Manuals/Aircraft Maintenance Program, especially as related to aircraft avionics.
To assist in replacing and repairing components/rectifying defects on aircraft parts.
Referencing and adhering to the procedures as defined by the Repair Station Manual.
Ensure that the Radio Base Manager is informed of maintenance breakdown or challenging experience during the work
Performs maintenance activities as directed by the Radio Base Manager
Maintaining AIM AIR Avionics – General Administration
Ensure all documentation and forms are properly executed relating to the work performed and completed
Record and log maintenance activities performed while on duty (log book)
To ensure the ongoing accuracy of the Radio Base inventory
Assist in Radio Base inventory and Stores planning and other Stores operations, such as regular stock take.
Operations Support
Preparation of aircraft for flights after scheduled and unscheduled inspections
Facility Maintenance
Ensure the maintenance, cleaning and servicing of shop tooling and equipment.
Assist in carrying out general maintenance of hangar and equipment.
NB: Any other Duty assigned by the supervisor
Candidate Profile:
Required Qualifications/Experience & Communication Demands
Essential
Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Avionics Emphasis) from a recognized institution.
Valid certificate of good conduct
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred/Desired
Understanding of Basic aircraft maintenance programs and Maintenance procedure manuals
Driver’s License plus Airside Driver’s Permit.
Experience.
