Roles for the Collection Officer Job
Manages the day -to-day collections and or recovery to ensure losses are minimized by the effective implementation of collections and Recoveries strategy.
Reviews processes within collections and recoveries to identify risk and opportunities to streamline operations, improve service and minimize losses.
Highlights and analyses credit failures to identify ways of improving the credit approval process.
Work with Branch staff to ensure optimal collection and or recovery.
Maintain collection data and feedback from the clients and generate daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Ensure compliance with the Company’s credit and recovery policies.
Exercise due care and diligence on matters related to Collections the day to day operations, which include client visitation, support to EDC, auctioneers and legal department, acquire relevant knowledge and training, provide support to superior and subordinates.
Any other duties as may be delegated from time to time by the collection supervisor or management team.
Collection Officer Job Requirements
University graduate
Good negotiation and communication skills.
2 years’ experience in group and SME lending.
Good Computer skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
