Principal Accountabilities
To ensure the existence of a proper accounting systems that facilitate the recording and production of accurate and timely financial information and reports.
To ensure timely preparation and submission of the Company’s annual budget.
To ensure that the working capital of the Company is well managed such that the company manages to meet its financial obligations.
To ensure availability of high calibre, skilled and motivated staff in the department who are able to achieve the Company’s objectives.
Key Duties
Review and update existing financial systems in line with the changing environment
Monitor the preparation of periodic accounting and management reports and to ensure their accuracy and timely preparation. Present financial reports to the management team and follow up the implementation of action plans
Review Tenders and negotiate competitive tender models
Project and forecast on spares needed and work within budgets set
Work on solutions for leasing models and options that are cost effective
Monitor working capital and initiate appropriate action including enhancing revenue collection, forex, investment and stock management
Reviews variance reports with department heads and initiate control measures. Consults with department heads on areas of parts, imports and exports, sales and operations.
Work on loan agreements and oversee cash flow and implement control systems
Sets performance targets for departmental staff, allocates work, monitor and review performance, identify shortfalls, ensure that staff are motivated to achieve the expected work standards and take necessary action
Facilitate the auditory process
Educational Qualifications
Graduate Degree in Finance
Over 10 years experience in Finance Related roles
Knowledge and experience in Automative sector a plus
Knowledge of SAP systems and ERP
Good Planning and Negotiation skills
Articulate and Analytical
