The Finance Director drives and supports the achievement of KONE’s business objectives and contributes to the ongoing development of unit/area/global business performance by developing and implementing finance policies, programs, and systems (i.e. Controlling and Measurement, Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax and Shared Services). They help to control KONE’s financial assets and provide complete and accurate financial information and records at a unit/area/global level
Responsibilities And Key Activities
Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the management team level to develop and implement finance and controlling systems and processes that align with the organisation’s overall vision and its current and future business objectives.
Lead the Global Function/Area/Unit finance function so that financial and controlling transactions, policies, systems, and procedures meet the organisation’s short and long-term business objectives and comply with regulations, KONE accounting principles and standards and KONE Financial Control Models (FCM).
Support the business forecasting process by implementing the FCM forecasting checklists.
Develop and implement annual Area/Unit budgets in line with global budgeting guidelines.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting policies, systems and procedures in achieving strategic objectives.
Review the organisation’s financial reports (balance sheet, PL and cashflow) and business performance reports to ensure they are accurate and present the findings and recommendations to other Senior Management.
Support the internal audit program activities within the Unit.
Coordinate, develop and manage cash flow and credit/collections activities.
Liaise with senior management to develop and implement finance strategies that are appropriate for the business needs and consistent with KONE’s overall finance strategy.
Direct all employees in Finance to ensure that the financial strategy is implemented effectively, consistently and according to established guidelines and budgets.
Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of managers and professionals to achieve established goals.
Maintain strong connections with other Finance colleagues within KONE to share best practices and to understand current and future trends.
Skills, Education And Experience
At least 5 years as a Controller
SAP and Beacon, or similar application, working knowledge
Professional qualifications as appropriate
Preferably Master’s degree in Finance or relevant field.
At least 7 years of professional experience
Good English skills
