Accounts Manager- Animal Nutrition

What you can expect
The incumbent will be tasked to intensify current sales and identify new and upcoming investment projects involving Animal Nutrition products in the Country. They will be responsible for the marketing and sales of the Company’s products, optimizing market share and profit margins. Core tasks willing include the following:
Analyze East African market potentials / conduct market surveys for allocated portfolio
Propose business models & route-to-market concept for the allocated portfolio in order to win business in East Africa.
Develop a market / competitor data base for allocated portfolio & feed into Sales Team Leader and SBU.
Maintain and develop customer relationships & actively develop successful business opportunities in the East African region whilst staying abreast of changes in and/or new development in product demand in East Africa.
Support sales via technical service activities in the region in order to grow and maintain BASF market share. Identifies and implements any possible improvements to business processes.
Business development according to SBU strategies
Manage customer portfolio
Compiles and monitors sales; APO forecasting & budgets, taking corrective action where necessary.
Product / Customer Management – adherence to defined KPIs (e.g. DSOs, DIV)
Ensure accurate on-time reporting and ongoing market intelligence (e.g. market demand, market shares etc.)
What we expect
Bachelor Degree in Agriculture majoring in Animal Production or related qualification
Proven track record of 3-5 years in the Animal Production or Animal feed related industries absolutely necessary
Fluent English (written and oral),
Work experience in Sales and/or Marketing preferred
Working knowledge of animal feed formulation
Knowledge of the East African animal feed market
