Administration Officer

Position Summary; This is a mid-level management position. The position is required to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Director, Centre of Excellence in Women and child Health: and to support the programme managers under the Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health. AKU. Key Responsibilities:-  • Effectively planning and scheduling appointments in the Director’s calendar • Prepare a daily program folder containing documents related to meetings taking place on each day • Receive, sort and route incoming mail and faxes • Attend to all incoming and outgoing calls • Take initiative, where appropriate to respond to mails that need not involve the Director • Prepare draft communication for the Director • Organizing meetings. Conferences and seminars • Facilitate procurement management • Petty Cash Management • Research support to the office of the CoEWCII, AKU East Africa and the project units Requirements; • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Communication Studies, Public Relations. Office Administration or other relevant field • Computer literacy is mandatory with very good practical skills in Ms Office Applications • Two years’ experience in administration Personal Attributes • Strong interpersonal and Public Relations skills • Ability to set priorities and work with minimum supervision • Good written and verbal communication skills
