PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Create and manage a security risk management service in coordination with the EABL Legal Team and targeted stakeholders. Ensure threat environment and security risk related events are monitored and assessed, with the relevant stakeholders being advised of changes in risk indicators, including functional support to “at risk” elements of business processes within the relevant Kenya business units and end markets. Provide consistency and coordination of country threat assessment, security risk assessment, crisis management, business continuity planning and brand protection. Co-ordinate investigations and routine security support to the business. The overarching purpose is to provide a co-ordinated and comprehensive threat-driven security risk management service of the highest quality, ensuring that risks to company personnel, assets and business operations/activities are properly identified, evaluated and countered in a timely and cost effective manner.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 3.1.
Operational/Technical/Professional Results Provide business security intelligence in a timely manner necessary; Sites threat assessments; Proactively identify security and continuity risks to the supply chain and markets. Formulate security plans to manage these risks and monitor their implementation. & Conduct security investigations Facilitate and coordinate Business Continuity and Crisis Management Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Corporate Security, Brand Protection and BCM issues. Develop subject matter for security training and awareness programmes.; Annual planning: lead on Supply Chain and Marketing security issues, aligning to business strategy and Prepare report and management of Security budgets. Ensure that travel security procedures and documentation are aligned and updated. & Support security programmes for VIP Execute Business, Legal and Corporate Security strategy and all instructions as directed by the Legal Director.
Leadership Results
Uptake and implementation of best practice in relation to corporate security and business continuity issues across the supply and distribution chain.
Provide direction and support to security managers from 3rd party;
Provide leadership to ensure security risks and continuity requirements are effectively mitigated.;
Leadership of the Corporate Security Team
Management Results: Deliver the security intelligence process, ;
Deliver country threat assessments.;
Continually assess the security environment to develop and recommend proactive security measures Execute and update security risk, business continuity and crisis management strategies
Deliver an efficient incident investigation and loss reporting process.;
Source suitable security providers at competitive costs
Innovation Results:
Deploy best in class access control, CCTV;
Monitor technology developments relevant to security operations, in particular those that can be used to secure the supply chain and mobile and remote assets.;
Generate creative ideas on how security objectives may be attained using smarter or more cost-effective approaches.
Knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in security management within the private sector;
Graduate qualification in security management or relevant related areas;
Experience in development and deployment of functional strategy, policy and standards. ;
Strong analytical skills Strong financial awareness, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to produce timely, accurate, detailed and concise written and verbal reports and reviews.
Experience of managing 3rd parties and service providers.;
Competence in all aspects of managing security, risk, business continuity and crises.;
Experience in project and programme management.;
