Senior Operations Manager

SummaryWe are looking for a Senior Operations Manager that will manage the new operations department and that will supervise day-to-day portfolio management, collections and payments processes with a superior risk management attitude. The key deliverables are:
Managing the operations towards zero fault toleration;
Shape, influence, plan and help achieve growth in line with business plans;
Ensure high customer satisfaction;
Maximum returns at minimum cost. 
The Senior Operations Manager will closely cooperate with the regional manager, and will be jointly responsible for managing internal (regional management team, Board) and external (investors, clients, donors) stakeholder relationships. On the longer term, the Senior Operations Manager can grow into a General Management or COO role.
Responsibilities
Daily operations management Champion and celebrate good practice to excite and enhance further great working
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Ensure the proper application of FACTS policies and standards
Take overall responsibility for the financial sustainability of the services
Ensure sufficient staff of a suitable caliber are available to deliver high quality services
Talent management including inspiring, coaching, mentoring, developing and evaluating the departmental team in order to achieve highest levels of performance Seamlessly work and interface with other departmental heads for goal congruence Participation and voting in the client screening and credit approval process Preparation of budgets and targets for approval by the board Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and any other business development related reports as may be required by the supervisor Performance of specific operation tasks:
Portfolio and client ledger management;
Managing pre-financing on a daily basis;
Ensuring daily bookings in the system;  
Reconciliation of ledgers to identify areas of attention and actions as per policy;
Client management which entails alerts, disputes, memos and the dunning procedure.

A relevant master degree
At least 5 years of relevant experience (as operations manager or implementation consultant in the financial sector)
Professional experience with client management, credit management and accounting
Comfort with the following competencies: Leading by example, passion for growth, change catalyst customer focus, ownership & holding each other accountable, team commitment, delivering the promise
Possession of the following functional skills: leadership, people management, change management, risk assessment, conflict resolution, IT application, superior MS Office
