Heavy Equipment Technician Job Responsibilities
Be responsible for emergency/unscheduled repairs of heavy equipments
Executing scheduled preventive maintenance on equipments
In charge of mechanical duties, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make changes/ report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work place.
Requirements for the Heavy Equipment Technician Job
Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent
At least 3 years as an Equipment Technician with vast experience in handling Forklift/ Reach Truck
Attention to Detail: Some parts need to be in the exact right place
Mechanical Skills: familiarity with parts and components of complex machinery and engines
Technical Skills: Be able to read blueprints, or use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs.
Troubleshooting Skills: Able to look at mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, identify problems, and think about possible solutions.
