Responsibilities for the Field Officer Job
Manning a field office (hub) that is situated in Embu county and running all the administrative duties thereby
Providing technical support on agricultural value chains to clients and in projects that are based in Embu
county and the larger Central and Eastern region
Reporting on progress in implementation of activities under portfolio
Carrying out any other duties which may or may not be related to the job, as reasonably requested by the management
Attending staff meetings and contributing to discussions
Upholding the vision and values of our organization and striving to work towards our mission
Qualifications for the Field Officer Job
Diploma in Agricultural Sciences, Economics, Extension, or any related fields
At least 2 years worth of experience in a similar position, especially working with smallholder farmers
Knowledge and experience of agricultural value chains in the larger Eastern region of Kenya
Experience in sales and marketing is a key requirement
Posses a valid motorcycle rider license, with sufficient experience in the same

Knowledge of technical agricultural standards as well as ethical standards
Ability to work and engage with people of different level of seniority
Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Swahili
