Executive Secretary Job  Responsibilities
 
Developing and applying concepts and principals of Inter-religious Dialogue (IRD)
Documentation of IRD material
Mainstreaming IRD and ecumenism in CAM commissions
Promote active participation of catholic members in ecumenism and IRD activities
Engage CAM Ecumenism and IRD partners
Implement CAM responsibilities to Coast Interfaith Council of clerics (CICC) to ensure a structured dialogue among faith leaders
Establish and operationalize relevant local and international collaborations Research and analysis emerging ecumenical and IRD issues
Coordinating visibility of IRD commission activities through the media
Organizing and implementing IRD activities (trainings, meetings, etc.)
Administrational work of the commission (e.g. reporting)
Resource mobilization.
And any other responsibly that you may be assigned time to time by your supervisor
 
Qualifications For Executive Secretary Job  
BA degree in religious studies with a minimum of two years continuous IRD experience
Or BA degree in relevant social sciences with IRD certificate or its equivalent and three years experience.
Practical experience in Ecumenism will be an added advantage
Basic knowledge in developing and monitoring project budget
Analytic and writing skills
Research and survey skills
Organizational skills
Communication and IT skills (website, social media)
Capacity to mobilize resources
 
Personal skills:
 
Fluency in English and Kiswahili Languages
Being open minded
Religious tolerance
Out-going
Self-driven
Team player
Capable of working under pressure
Is a committed Catholic, with good recommendation from own Parish Priest
